Day 1 - Rishikesh to Sagar Village (Approx. 250 Km Drive, 10–11 Hours, Approx. 6,600 ft)

Begin the journey from Haridwar / Rishikesh towards Sagar Village, the base village for the sacred Rudranath Temple trek.
The scenic drive passes through beautiful Himalayan roads, river valleys, and sacred confluences including Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the holy Ganga. Enjoy mesmerizing views of mountains, forests, and traditional Garhwali villages throughout the journey.
Reach Sagar Village by evening, check into the guest house/homestay, and relax amidst the peaceful Himalayan surroundings followed by dinner and an overnight stay. Rishikesh to Sagar Village.
Day 2 - Sagar Village To Lyuti Bugyal (10–12 Km Trek, 6–7 Hours, Approx. 11,000 ft )

- Stay: Camps at Lyuti Bugyal
After breakfast, begin the trek from Sagar Village towards the beautiful alpine meadows of Lyuti Bugyal. The trail passes through dense forests of oak and rhododendron along with scenic mountain landscapes and traditional shepherd routes.
As the trek gains altitude, witness mesmerizing views of the surrounding Himalayan valleys and snow-covered peaks. Upon reaching Lyuti Bugyal, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the vast meadows surrounded by pristine nature.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in camps under the beautiful Himalayan sky.
Day 3 - Lyuti Bugyal to Rudranath & Back to Lyuti Bugyal
- Distance: 18–20 Km Trek
- Duration: 8–10 Hours
- Altitude: Approx. 11,811 ft
- Stay: Camps at Lyuti Bugyal
Early morning, begin the trek from Lyuti Bugyal towards the sacred Rudranath Temple through scenic alpine meadows, rocky ridges, and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes.
Upon reaching Rudranath Temple, seek blessings at one of the revered Panch Kedar shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by majestic mountain views and a deeply spiritual atmosphere, the temple offers a truly divine Himalayan experience.
After spending some peaceful moments at the temple, begin the return trek back to Lyuti Bugyal. Reach the campsite by evening followed by dinner and an overnight stay amidst the serene bugyals.
Day 4 - Lyuti Bugyal To Sagar Village
- Distance: 10–12 Km Trek
- Duration: 5–6 Hours
- Altitude: 11,000 ft to 6,600 ft
- Stay: Sagar Village
After breakfast, begin the descent from Lyuti Bugyal towards Sagar Village through scenic forest trails and beautiful Himalayan landscapes.
Enjoy the peaceful surroundings, lush greenery, and panoramic mountain views while retracing the route back to the base village. Reach Sagar Village by afternoon and relax after the successful completion of the trek.
Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged the guest house/homestay in Sagar Village.
Day 5 - Sagar Village To Rishikesh
- Distance: Approx. 250 Km Drive
- Duration: 10–11 Hours
- Altitude: 6,600 ft to 1,220 ft
After breakfast, depart from Sagar Village and begin the scenic drive back towards Rishikesh.
The journey passes through beautiful Himalayan roads, river valleys, and sacred confluences of Uttarakhand, offering stunning mountain and riverside views throughout the drive.
Reach Rishikesh by evening, marking the end of the memorable Rudranath Temple trek.
Inclusion / Exclusion
Inclusions:
- Transportation from Rishikesh to the trek starting point and return back to Rishikesh as per the itinerary.
- Accommodation on sharing basis in guest houses, homestays, and alpine camps/tents during the entire trek.
- Nutritious vegetarian meals during the trek including breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner as mentioned in the itinerary.
- Services of experienced trek leaders, local guides, and support staff throughout the journey.
- High-quality camping equipment including tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping mats for all camping stays.
- All required forest permits, camping permissions, and entry fees related to the trek.
- Basic first aid support and medical kit available with the trek leader.
- Bonfire and group activities during selected campsite stays (subject to weather and local regulations).
- Assistance with trek coordination and safety management throughout the expedition.
Exclusions:
- Lunch on Day 1 and Day 5 is not included in the package. Trekkers are advised to carry sufficient cash and arrange their meals during the road journey or at designated stop points en route.
- Any kind of personal expenses such as snacks, mineral water, beverages, personal medicines, laundry, phone calls, internet charges, porter tips, and shopping are not covered under the package cost.
- Rental charges for trekking gear and equipment including trekking poles, ponchos, jackets, shoes, gloves, or any personal trekking accessories will be applicable separately if required by the trekkers.
- Expenses arising due to unforeseen situations such as roadblocks, landslides, snowfall, weather changes, natural disasters, strikes, transportation delays, or any other circumstances beyond the control of the organizers are not included and will have to be borne by the participants directly.
- Any medical expenses, evacuation charges, emergency transport, or additional accommodation caused due to health issues, trek delays, or personal reasons will also be chargeable separately.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancilation Policy
- Cancellation made 30 days or more before the trek departure date will receive a full refund after deduction of a 5% processing fee.
- Cancellation made between 15 to 29 days before the trek departure date will be eligible for a 50% refund of the total trek fee.
- No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than 15 days before the trek departure date.
- No refund will be applicable in case of a no-show or unused services after the trek has started.
Note: Refunds will be processed within 10 business days. Incase the trek is cancelled by The Mountain Hike due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, natural calamities, roadblocks, or government restrictions, the trek will only be rescheduled and no monetary refund will be provided.
